A prominent eco-campaigner was caught repeating the lie that demonstrating farmers delayed London ambulances in December 2024. The claim echoes an earlier report in the leftist Byline Times newspaper, subsequently disproven by a freedom-of-information request from the Guido Fawkes website.
Defending lawbreaking Just Stop Oil zealots on the BBC’s Politics Live show on Wednesday April 2nd, George Monbiot claimed farmers “blocked the roads in London … delaying multiple ambulances …ambulances were stacked up.” The first time this claim was made the London Ambulance Service replied that it had not one recorded incident of any delays attributable to last year’s farmer tractor protests.
