Europe on High Alert for Attacks on Jews at Public Events ━ The European Conservative

Violent “terrorist supporter groups” will infiltrate upcoming pro-Palestine protests and take advantage of mass gatherings in order to attack Israelis and Jews, Israel’s National Security Council (NSC) has warned.

The agency says that upcoming sporting events are being specifically targeted, such as France’s football match against Israel in Paris this Thursday. Brussels, Amsterdam, and “major cities in the UK” have also been identified as being at risk.

In a shocking message which shows just how far Europe has descended since the October 7th Hamas-led pogrom, the NSC told Jews and Israelis to “categorically avoid attending Israeli sports/cultural events abroad” in the coming weeks, as well as to

be extra careful about concealing anything that could identify you as Israeli/Jewish.

Of equal concern is that, as journalist Jack Mendel has predicted online, “there will be a cabal of people defending these attacks if and when they do happen.” Indeed, various European commentators immediately blamed Maccabi Tel Aviv ‘football hooligans’ for the antisemitic violence in Amsterdam.

Paris officials have announced that 4,000 police officers will be deployed during Thursday’s “high-risk” match due to “tensions.” Most of these will be positioned at the Stade de France stadium, around which “an anti-terrorist security perimeter” will be established. Other officers will also be in place around the rest of the city, including on key public transportation links.

Among Israel’s concerns is that “lone wolf attackers” will attempt to blend into pro-Palestine demonstrations taking place across Europe in the coming weeks, “with the goal of carrying out an attack.”

The NSC’s warning comes after Dutch police broke up a pro-Palestine rally in Amsterdam on Sunday.

City officials had put a three-day ban on demonstrations, starting Friday, after Israeli football fans were assaulted by an antisemitic mob last week, in what populist leader Geert Wilders described as a “pogrom” and a “Jew hunt.”

Dozens of Gaza activists were arrested yesterday, on November 10th, for defying this ban while holding placards reading “from the river to the sea,” effectively calling for Israel (and Jews) to be wiped off the map.
