“Do Not Attend Moscow’s Victory Day Celebrations” ━ The European Conservative

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has told EU member states’ leaders not to attend the Russian Victory Day celebrations in Moscow on May 9th. To date, only Slovak leader Robert Fico is planning to visit.

A military parade is scheduled, marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also plans to organise a ‘coalition of the willing’ meeting in Kyiv on the same day, attended by leaders who support Ukraine.

Other confirmed attendees at the Moscow event include Xi Jinping of China, Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko, and Serbia’s president, Aleksandar Vučić. The latter will face particular criticism as he heads one of the nine EU accession candidate countries.
